Professionals who specialise in content creation play a crucial role in researching, planning, developing and producing engaging content that meets the needs of different audiences. They create and adapt content across a range of formats, platforms and systems, working with stakeholders at different levels to understand requirements and respond effectively to creative briefs. Their role involves managing content throughout the production process, using appropriate creative and digital tools while considering factors such as brand guidelines, accessibility, copyright and sustainability.
As content creator apprentices, their responsibilities include generating creative ideas and producing, editing and publishing content designed to inform, engage or influence their intended audience. They work closely with internal teams, clients and other stakeholders to interpret briefs, gather information and feedback, and develop content that meets organisational objectives. They manage their own workload and production activities effectively, making creative decisions and adapting their approach when requirements change. They are able to work with increasing independence, taking ownership of content from initial concept through to final delivery and using feedback and performance information to continually improve their work.
